Associate Professor Helen Reddel runs a multi-disciplinary asthma clinic at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, and conducts research about clinical asthma management at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research.
Her current research is directed towards improving the management of asthma in the community. This includes optimising the use of asthma medications and inhaler devices, developing new strategies for identification and management of asthma exacerbations, and, as co-chair of an international Task Force, developing guidelines for the assessment of asthma control, severity and exacerbations in clinical trials and clinical practice. Assoc. Prof. Reddel is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Global Initiative for Asthma.
